On May 25th, the main event of the 38th Technology Week in Jinnan District, along with the district's National Science Workers' Day celebration, was successfully held at The 5th Xianshuigu Elementary School. The event was attended by key leaders including Bai Haili, Vice Chairman of the Tianjin Association for Science and Technology and Party Secretary of Tianjin University of Science and Technology; Cui Dexing, Standing Committee Member of the District Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department; Wei Guiyou, Deputy Director of the District People's Congress; Xue Tong, Deputy District Mayor; Wang Yu'ai, Vice Chairman of the District Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the District Association for Science and Technology; and Wang Yanfa, Executive Deputy Director of the District Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation. Also present were representatives from district-based technology enterprises, science and science popularization workers, members of the Scientist Spirit Promotion Team, chairpersons of  associations for science and technology, along with teachers, students, and parents.

The opening ceremony of the main event consisted of two sections: the opening ceremony and the "Science Carnival."During the launching ceremony, Xue delivered a welcome address. On behalf of the District Committee and the District Government, he extended festive greetings to the vast number of science and technology workers on all fronts in the district. He also outlined clear requirements and expectations for the efforts to be made on technology and science popularization. Leaders awarded medals and certificates to companies and individuals who had won honorary titles in various categories, including " Outstanding Individuals for 2023 National Technology Week," "2023 China Popular Science Information Representatives," and "2023 Tianjin Science and Technology Base."They also issued certificates of appointment to representatives of the Scientist Spirit Promotion Group. Education Bureau of Jingnan District, on behalf of all young people in the district, presented a copy of the Selected Works of Wang Chengshu to the Wang Chengshu Memorial Hall, paying tribute to the glorious deeds and the spirit of scientists. The ceremony concluded with Cui’s announcement on the official opening of the 38th Technology Week in Jinnan District and the National Science Workers' Day events.
